Summer Showcase 2022 Submission


Thank you for your interest in performing in the annual Phoenix Dance Studio Summer Showcase!  This showcase allows our students the opportunity to delve into the creativity of choreography and creating your performance, as well as, honing your performance skills in the safety of the studio, with only fellow students and instructors as the audience. (This is not a public show.) 

Before you decide to submit a routine for the Summer Showcase, please go over the guidelines and expectations below.
Please note: We have several packages that include practice time and the necessary private lessons.  You can view those here!
While this is an in-house showcase, we want you to perform at your best and get a feel for the process of our public shows!  In order to considered for performing in the showcase, there are a number of deadlines that will need to be met. Not meeting these deadlines can lead to being pulled from the showcase.  But remember, you can continue to work on your routine!
June 20, 2022 Complete the survey at the bottom of this page and  send in your song choice via this link. (song file is not a link from Spotify or youtube. You must purchase/share the song as an MP3 file.)
July 14, 2022 Students must schedule their first private before this date.  This will allow instructors to give individualized feedback on concept, performance, transitions, and other performance based critiques.  This will also give you the opportunity to ask specific questions or to get suggestions on the direction of your routine.
July 14- August 14, 2022 Schedule second private.   This will allow instructors to view completed routines and offer final evaluations.  Performers will also have the opportunity to ask for specific feedback.


The Phoenix Dance Studio Student Showcase is currently scheduled for the afternoon of  Saturday, August 20.

Exact time is TBD. Please read the following carefully:

**Summer Showcase is open to all ages and genders. Some performances may have violence, nudity, or other adult content, so those performers who are under the age of 18 will be asked to step out during these performances.  Other audience considerations may be made based on individual performances.

**Pending public health concerns (COVID ) there will be a dress rehearsal on Thursday 3/18/22 at 6pm.

** The showcase is intended to be a fun learning experience but we hope you take your commitment as a performer seriously-as we couldn’t have a summer showcase without all of you!  If you decide, for any reason, not to complete or perform your routine please communicate that with Erica  ( and this will change the preparation and line-up.  However, please don’t hesitate to reach out for added help and guidance if you are looking for more support to get your routine show-ready!
